What you'll do

Job Chow Recruiting is hiring a remote News & Copy Editor contractor to support a leading AI lab. You will contribute domain expertise to model training, evaluation, and structured task review. Work is fully remote, hourly, and flexible.

Who we're looking for

What you’ll do: review paired AI-generated news/copy writing against the task brief and writing guide; judge for factual accuracy, hedging, and buried leads; select a preferred sample, write a one-line reason, apply tags; clear the calibration gate before live data.
Background: desk or copy editing experience at a major news organization; comfortable cutting copy to the point on deadline; catches a factual slip or buried lead on the first read.
Schedule: 5 hours/day, 5 business days for the pilot, ramping into an ongoing month-to-month engagement.

Compensation

Pay range is $70–$75/hr depending on experience and demonstrated skill. Strong contributors may be promoted based on task quality and throughput.

Commitment

Flexible part-time hours, fully remote. Hourly contractor engagement.
